A birthday tribute to the late Otis Blackwell, who would have been 80-years-old on the day of broadcast were he still alive.  This is a fun mix of songs he penned for Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and others, performed by artists as varied as James Brown and The Residents!

Tune in Thursday February 9th while we spotlight the short-lived but fascinating group The Insect Trust.  We will listen to songs from their sole 2 LP’s and also dive into the other projects the various members were involved in, which involves some nice blues from Memphis.

Featured in a pair of documentaries (Athens, GA: Inside/Out, Two-Headed Cow) Dex Romweber has been an influence to many a rock n’ roll artist.  Unbeknownst to him until recently, Dex is back touring with his sister as The Dex Romweber Duo.  This show looks at the music he’s made to this point, from his time in The Flat Duo Jets, up through 2011’s ‘Is That You In The Blue?’ and his collaboration with Jack White.
